The Sun (XIX)

Life-size bronze sculpture, approx. 180 cm

Light & Consciousness

The Sun stands at the center of the solar system, the only star within it, a source of light, warmth, and energy upon which all life depends. Every movement, every cycle, every form of growth unfolds in relation to its presence. It generates its own light, while everything else depends on it to be seen.

It is not only a distant body in space, but the force that sustains life itself. The Earth turns around it, shaped by its gravity and illuminated by its light. Without it, there is no rhythm, no time, no life.

The Sun represents the core of identity. It is the center of the self, the essence that remains when all roles and layers fall away. It reflects vitality, presence, and the drive to express one’s true nature. Not shaped by the external, but radiating from within.

Across cultures and time, the Sun has been understood as a living presence, a symbol of creation, order, and divine intelligence. It appears not as something separate, but as a visible expression of an unseen force, a center from which life continuously unfolds.

Its form is simple: a circle, whole and without beginning or end. A symbol of unity, eternity, and the totality of life. From this center, rays extend outward in all directions. Some are straight, direct, and penetrating, associated with clarity, action, and masculine energy.

Others are soft, curved, and flowing, reflecting warmth, receptivity, and feminine energy. Together, they express a balance, a continuous movement between opposites held within one source.

The Sun illuminates. It reveals what is hidden and dissolves what obscures. Like light entering a dark space, it brings awareness into form. What was unseen becomes visible. What was dormant begins to grow.

In this way, the Sun is not only the source of physical life, but of consciousness itself. It reflects vitality, presence, and the unfolding of identity. A steady force of expansion, guiding all things toward clarity, growth, and renewal.
